Mission statement:
Our mission in general is to create a unique and exciting online multi-media educational game, designed to stimulate and support the target group to practise reading, and encourage thinking, in English. Through Sensedom the user stands to gain in numerous advantages, some of which are listed below. The user:
- can have fun while practising reading and thinking in English
- has the option of practising in private without attracting attention to themselves
- can develop their listening skills
- can follow up their interests and/or others that appeal to them
- can control their own pace
- can monitor their own progress
- can revisit specific previous experiences in particular Areas of Interest as often as they wish.
- is exposed to as much background information (or concepts) as possible
- learns without knowing they learn.
- has the option to comment in writing in a forum or blog (i.e. when linked to The Internet, involving an online community) on experiences referred to in Sensedom
With regard to Phase 1 (see Partnership and Investment Opportunities) in particular, the user can engage with Sensedom as a recreational activity, in much the same way as some people might with a Jig-saw Puzzle, Word Search, Cross-word Puzzles, Scrabble and other language games. |
